FALCONRY EXPERIENCES IN KENT

We are busy prepping the birds for the display season ahead, we have lots of events we are attending, from weddings, events, corporate bookings plus our experiences at Belmont House & Gardens.

Wonder what it take’s to get birds ready? After a long moult, the birds will need to have their beaks trimmed, equipment updated and bringing their weights into place for work. Once we have completed this process, it is just regular flying daily to build fitness and working with them for enrichment. Some people ask us if the birds respond just for food, it is so clear that relationships between our birds and falconers go beyond just food. Our most beautiful relationship at the moment is between Joe and Lenny, our Lanner Falcon, Lenny is about to start his return to work from a moult and the bowing, chirping and tail lifting whenever Joe goes to see him, is simply beautiful to watch. Once display season hits, our crazy little Lenny will be challenging Joe with stoops from 1000ft, they both get so much pleasure working together and it is clear to see!

Our mission is to educate, heading into schools to educate young minds, or maybe at a wedding inspiring a wedding guest, we reach out to so many to get our message across. Birds are stunning, so many people do not look up, and around you, here is Britain, we have so many bird of prey species to be seen, Peregrines, Little Owls, Hobby’s, Merlin’s, Tawny Owls and much more…..looking at the world around you and finding out how important these birds are to our biodiversity, is such an important subject to get across. With the passion of our falconers, we really get this message across in a fun, engaging and interactive.

So we are looking forward to the 2025 season ahead, and wherever we meet you in the year ahead – we cannot wait to meet you and for you to meet our birds!
